The Unger Law Firm

• In 2007, after having practiced in an AV-rated firm for ten years, he created The Unger Law Firm, a boutique family law firm devoted to creating a higher level of service using technology to enhance the practice of family law.
• Mark Unger focuses his practice in Family Law and Technology, including but not limited to Divorce, Property Division, Enforcement, Modification, Child Support, Visitation or Possession and Access, Relocation, Grandparent Rights, Multi-State Jurisdictional litigation in Family Law, and all other areas of Family Law.
• He has been recognized as one of San Antonio’s Best Lawyers (peer review) regularly since 2007 and as a member of the Fastcase 50 class of 2016.

Legal Tech

• In 2015, he launched Muse Legal Technology Consulting to focus on legal technology and to help other attorneys create greater efficiencies in their practice. Over the last approximately 20 years, he has spoken on legal technology topics around the State of Texas and the Country, including multiple years at ABA Techshow in Chicago.
• He filed the first e-filed pleading in Bexar County in 2003 and the first electronic brief (CD-ROM) in Texas in 1998.

State Bar & Committees

• He has been on the board of the State Bar of Texas Computer & Technology Council since 2001 and the San Antonio Bar Association’s Technology committee since 1999, converting it to a bar section a few years ago.
• He is a former Chair of the Computer & Technology Council of the State Bar, former Chair of the Web Services Committee of the State Bar, former President and Board Member of the Family Law section board for the San Antonio Bar, and former outside board member of the ABA TechShow, litigation and tablet tracks, and current Chair of the San Antonio Bar Association, Technology Section.
• He currently sits on the Judicial Committee on Information Technology, the Computer Council of the State Bar of Texas,  and the Law Practice Management Committee of the State Bar of Texas. He has been a member of the College of the State Bar each year since 1998.
• He is also a member of the William S. Sessions American Inn of Court (2020-present), Texas Bar Foundation (2016-present), and San Antonio Bar Foundation (2020-present).
